Hello from Memphis, Tennessee, home of blues. Making your own sounds very rewarding. I'd never try it myself because I am worthless with needle & thread. As Tattoobradly said, we have a section of this forum just for kilt makers. If you want to "kick-start" your kilted experence check out our site sponsers. they have ready-mades at very good prices. I own 2 from Sport Kilt myself. You will also see USA Kilts, Freedom Kilts and others. Good folks all.
