Well, I didn't get one till we'd been married 22 years. I'd always liked the look but couldn't figure a reason to wear one. Then while searching for something else I found this board. After lurking and learning for a bit I started talking about wearing a kilt more. Now I have 1 UK and 3 traditional style kilts. For about two months now I've been kilted unless wearing my uniform and my wife likes the look. Now our son has an Amerikilt at college and she thinks he looks good.
Of course, my wife was used to seeing me sitting around the house in a breech clout making moccasins or sewing shooting pouches. Yes, I live part-time in the 18th century. We both have our eccentricities and are understanding and they make life interesting. Mostly though, I have a jewel of a wife.
YMOS,
Tony
