Interesting (non-celtic) band

I was listening to Sirius radio the other morning and the host has a segment where he plays different songs and callers rate them yay or nay. One song caught my ear as I had heard it somewhere before but had no idea who did it. It was a punk rock version of Over the Rainbow. The group is called Me First and the Gimme Gimme's.

Well, once I had the name it was off to the internet. These guys are hilarious. They have been around at least since 1997 and have about a dozen albums out. Their sole purpose seems to be a cover band that takes 60's and 70's (mainly) songs and re-do them. They change some of the words to add some er...twisted humor (you wouldn't believe what they do to Uptown Girl and It's Raining on Prom Night) and then do them all in high energy early 80's British punk style. Brilliant!

When I got home that night I hit the iTunes music store and bought one of their albums. This is the one with Over the Rainbow and I've listened to it four or five times so far. I'll be buying more.
