vintage U.S Military sporran?
Hey all,
I just picked up this vintage Horse hair sporran today and was wondering if anyone might have some info on it. I was told that it was possibly a U.S. military sporran but I have yet to ever see one quite like it. On the back is stamped Thomas "something" Glasgow, dated 1929. On the front is the American eagle with E PLURIBUS UNIM. It is in real good shape for it's age. The Patent leather insert on the front is cracking and the hair is a tad yellow but overall it's in great shape. I've sent it out to get cleaned and restored and also have that leather insert replaced.
If anyone has any info on it I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Keith
