I usually wear a sweater under a lighter jacket (also a Marmot - the DriClime Windshirt). When it's bitter out (like below 0 F) I sometimes switch to a Western Mountaineering down jacket. I don't really have anything "dress-up" other than a couple of Argyle jackets. I don't know what I'd wear over those if I had to go out on the town in the cold. Maybe just turn up the lapels and suck it up while I'm outdoors.
