Full Formal Attire, with the Kilt BACKWARDS!!
I love it that men are coming to their senses and wearing kilts with pride.
As I was leaving the Mesa, AZ Highland Games Saturday afternoon a young man, would guess in his thirties, was striding proudly towards the front gate.
He was wearing a black PC jacket, tie, kilt hose, ghillies, flashes, et.al. He was done up to the max.
But his hand sewn traditional tartan was worn backwards, with pleats to the front and apron to the back.
You should have seen the pleats fly when he strode with such purpose.
I've said before that it makes sense...no pleats to wrinkle when you sit...maybe he wore it like that for the drive to the games and forgot to turn the kilt around front...no clue.
I was more amazed that he could have so much knowledge of the many accessories he wore and so little of the kilt.
Seems kind of like stopping a stranger to tell them their fly is open....me...I just let him pass...someone certainly had to clue him in eventually.
Kilted...proudly....and basackwards....ya gotta love it.
