The one person I most ah... concerned over their reaction at my buying a kilt was my mother. After much deliberation, I've finally shown her my new SportKilt, in a tartan described by them as MacGregor (mum was a MacGregor before she married). No recriminations, or anything. However, it doesn't quite match her genuine MacGregor wool scarf. :-/ Drat. I also heard a new question: "Where are you going to wear that?" I could only answer "Wherever". She still thinks of them as a 'costume', I fear. Mum did ask if I had all the other things (I don't) so she might be a bit put out when I team a t-shirt with it tomorrow morning. :-) I haven't shown her my snow camo Neokilt yet... Wade.
