Those are beautiful, Mr. White, and I hope that your sons recognize what a treasure they are. In this day of things being made by anonymous faces over the ocean, or even by machines, it is a rare and wonderful thing to have a work of functional art that you can point to with pride and say, "my relation made this just for me."

I suspect that's also one of the appeals of the kilt, though in most cases, it's not our relations that make them for us.
