Source of good cloth
On ebay, I found a remnant of a tartan I had been looking for (but which none of the shops I visited in Edinburgh recently could show me).
I had no idea what quality it would be, but at £8 a metre double width, I too a chance. I ordered 2m a few days ago, and this morning received 2.5 m of excelent 100% worsted wool with selvage, which I am fairly sure was made by House of Edgar.
Such cloth usually sold at some £40 !
Home kilt-makers take note.
The retailer is Nicassa, <http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Niccassa-and-Co>
No quibbles, quick service, and no outrageous p&p added -- £7 to France, whereas other sites commonly ask for £10 - £15 !!!
