Cloves, you asked for a listing of bands. Here is a link from the RSPBA. It lists the standings starting with Novice and goes down through Grade 1 Finals. Hope you find what your looking for

David, You were right Field Marshall Montgomery defended their title. I was pulling for Simon Fraser myself. Thanks for the photos! I really want to make it over to see a finals one year.
I heard it was wet. Looks like it was alot more wet than the early reports I had been able to gleen from the BBC and such. I kept searching for an online radio feed, I had heard there was going to be one just could not find it.
Jock, that was the Argylls, you can see the RRS cap badge. They do tend to civilianize (if that is a word) their uniform a bit for contests by wearing waistcoats and dress shirts. I like the fact that the bands are able to keep some of their traditional identity with the kilt panels and sporrans and such. Keeps the legacy going. I think they were the only RRS battalion represented. I really think they looked sharp!
Actually, there were several other military bands represented as well, I recall a couple of RAF bands competing. A&S competed in Grade 2 not sure of the other military bands.
