LOL. We wondered about that as well, and asked him. It comes down to a prayer he made back when he was just learning to tattoo. He prayed for the talent to do it, and if it was granted to him he said he would never ink his own skin. He said from then on it all just made sense to him, how to get the proper shading, etc...
Believe the story or not, the explanation works for me.

Naturally we are not planning on getting divorced ever, but worst case scenario, it's no different than a tattoo of some random model. Ideally, hopefully, that will never be an issue.

I was definitely ready to stop by the time we finished. The adrenaline had all run out and it was nothing but will keeping me in the chair. Mind of over matter, "If you don't mind, it don't matter." I'll probably be going back in a couple weeks for some touch ups on the highlights in the hair, some of it is really subtle and we just won't know how it looks until it is healed.

Next one? Well I have a tat on my other arm, of a Siamese Fighting Fish, but it's kind of small and he is all by himself. I might get that worked into a freshwater aquarium scene, some plants in the background, several other fish, etc...

Then of course I want a back piece....
