I bought some fabric from the Frugal corner
It took one e-mail to prod them into action, but once that was done, the stuff arrived on my doorstep quickly. I'm not tense about it, at all. I got a response to the e-mail quite quickly. It's a yard of the Clark/Clergy tartan, which I am making into a stole for one of my pastors at church.
HONESTLY? I think the stuff is too light for a traditional kilt. I got the "13 ounce"...note the quotes. It's a bit heavier than the stuff that Sport Kilt uses, but it's not the same weight as 13 ounce worsted wool.
HOWEVER, that said, the material is very nice. It's soft and comfy, the sett is big, the colors bright and true and this stuff will make a great stole. I would make a skirt out of it without a second thought. It would also make a really nice shirt or other garment.
many thanks, Mark and the Frugal Corner!
