Not a good day to day choice i'm afraid, The "ammo boot" has its sole built up to reduce the flexibility in the boot reducing the damage done to the polish, or Bull as its called in the trade. The segs are also lethal on many surfaces, great for what they are designed to do not something that would jump out to me.
However
similar but slightly different is the DMS boot (DMS for "dems ma shoes")

Very similar upper but with a rubber sole, these boots were issue Britsh boot up to the mid 80's so getting your hands on a new set is difficult and I would never recommend wearing S/H boots
