The Pipes and Drums of Her Majesty's Something...
When I was but a wee bairn, my mother had a phonograph album of bagpipe music, the title of which, I think, was something about the Pipes and Drums of Her Majesty's Black Watch. However, I can't seem to find this in the usual searches... Amazon, dogpile, etc.
When we were at the Tucson highland games a couple of weeks ago, my mother mentioned that she'd always loved the way "Amazing Grace" was played on this album, with a lone piper at the beginning, and one at the end, but with the whole band joining in for the body of the song. She further mentioned that she's been unable to find that song played that way by any other band.
So I'm wondering... can anyone help me find this album in a modern format? Can anyone even tell me if I've got the right title that I'm looking for? Thanks in advance!
