I think that Mike, David, Nelson, Hank, Colin, Todd, Dee , Bradley, Glen, or perhaps Jamie would be among your best choices.

Now that would just be sucking up, unless of course David was the name chosen.

Again, that makes David a great choice.

But really - I think the best names are those that are in common use will cause less problems for the child. Also the names that have established nick names are good.

The current trend to just mix a bunch of letters together is strange to me.

Also, the trend to use a fairly common name, but give it an unusual spelling. I know the parents think it's clever, but all it does is cause problems for the kids in school when everyone spells their name wrong by using the common spelling.
