DFW area: "Exploring Chamber Music"
This might be of interest to folks who like classical music:
Exploring Chamber Music
Chamber music (compositions for small groups of musicians) has always been a favorite among performers of all musical abilities. Please join me in exploring chamber music for instruments and voices by a variety of composers from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries (such as Bach, Mozart, Brahms, and Stravinsky) through historical lectures, in-class demonstrations, pre-concert talks, and lively discussions. I’m offering a course through TCU Extended Education that will include two free chamber music recitals performed at TCU by faculty and participants in the Chamber Music Roundup Festival (www.music.tcu.edu/roundup.asp). The course will take place Thursday 1/3/08 – Tuesday 1/8/08 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the TCU School of Music (exact location to be determined). For more information, please contact me at j.king3@tcu.edu or contact TCU Extended Education (www.lifelong.tcu.edu).

I will be participating in the Chamber Music Roundup -- maybe we can arrange a kilt night after one of the recitals.
