Have somewhat of a problem. Next week I am going on a 9 day cruise in the Caribeann over the Xmas holiday. I would like to wear my kilt in the formal manner for the "fancy" Christmas Dinner. But...I have no PC or even a Argyll jacket because they won't arrive until the end of Dec or early Jan. That's the problem. My wife would really like me to wear a kilt to dinner and so would I since this will be my first official "Christmas in a Kilt". My question is this: Is it possible to wear something else that could subsitute the jacket that isn't standard for Kilts? In other words, can certain Tuxedo jackets be used or other type suits? Just wondering if there were any alternatives?
