Another difference between pants and the kilt
Several years ago I read a piece on the many differences between men and women. One of the things that stuck in my mind is what happens differently, between a man and a woman, when we both drop something in our laps.
According to the article, when a man drops something, he will quickly and instinctively put his knees together, and a woman will draw her knees apart. This, of course it trained after long time wearing pants or skirts. You don’t think about it, you just do it. The next time you drop something in your lap - watch what happens.
This is also true of the kilted.
When, and if, we have finally made the huge mental leap to wearing the kilt, we will push our knees apart when we drop something in our laps.
Well today it happened to me. While sitting at the kitchen table I dropped a pen, and sure enough, I pushed my knees apart.
I guess my mind has finally accepted the fact that I am wearing a kilt.

Only took a few years.
