As some of you regulars know, I recently took a different part-time job. I left the cooking school gig for a line cooks position (cold plating, fry, grill, deserts) at a bistro ran by another fellow that I worked with at the cooking school. I love it but the down side is that now I work more so I am kilted MUCH less Well on my days off I will sometimes eat there because the food is good. The woman that owns the place loves my kilts. Now when I come through the front door dressed out in all black kitchen clothes with my knife roll over my shoulder the boss lady says to any customers that are near her “That’s one of our chef’s. His name is David. Normally he wears kilts when he’s not working. He has 13 of them.” Makes me feel good.
