I only have one pipe at the moment. It was given to me by a friend in high school. I had told him how I really wanted a nice pipe since I was sick of smoking a cheap corncob. (Don't get me wrong, a corncob makes for a nice smoke, but it still doesn't quite have the appeal of a nice pipe.) I had told him of my father's collection and how he'd given it away years before. He said that he had inherited over 100 pipes from his grandfather, and surprised me the next day by giving me one of them. It's a treasure that I will someday hand down. It's a Peterson Shamrock, and the hallmark on the silver band puts the manufacturing date in 1939. It has the Peterson lip, which contrary to most advertising claims, really does cut down on tongue bite. The tobacco I'm currently smoking is a cheap vanilla cavendish from the local grocery store. If I had my way, however, I'd be smoking some Durango Gold or just about any other blend from the Durango Smoke Shop. Those of you who smoke owe it to yourself to check some of Don's stuff out. The website is: http://www.durangosmokeshop.com/
