My Wyvern leather works or Thorfinn Custom are great sporrans, but a US$ 25 Rob Roy can do me as well. Not as fancy, but also not as pricey. Some people don't need all the bells and whistles. I like the custom jobs because they are made for me. Someone else can make do with a plain leather sporran.
SO, Jack Daw, you can spend as much as you want, especially if I can buy the same sporran for a fraction of what you paid for it, but sporrans are pouches. That may be all someone needs.
My point was that on occasion you can get quite a deal. Those that price their sporrans so expensively do so because they take their time making quality items. I've bought expensive, medium-priced, and cheap sporrans. If you are selective, you can get a good deal. But, it doesn't always work out that way.
