From my latest blog entry. I thought I would share it with the rabble.

Every once in a while the skies in central Georgia become like fire. The reds, yellows, oranges and golds mix into a symphony of color and produce a masterpiece in the sky. It is rare enough that when it occurs I will stop what ever I am doing and go outside to marvel at the sky. Last night was just such an evening. As Ruth and I were just settling in for the evening, I happened to glance outside and catch the fact that the entire back yard was bathed in a gold and pinkish light. Our normally white fence was pink and the oak tree had flashes of gold in it's leaves. This let me know that the sky would be awash in it's color.

Grabbing the camera and heading outside, I was able to grab this shot from my front porch. After the single shot, I just stood mesmerized watching the interplay of color and motion until the sun finally settled and the color show stopped.

At times like this, I thank God for his creation and my small place in it. There is much beauty in the world if we will just take the time to see it. I was just fortunate last evening to be able to do so.
