New SWK sporran and strap
I just received the black sporran and strap I ordered from SWK earlier this week. Two questions for the more experienced:
First, the sporran flap folds over at an odd angle. How can I train the flap to close straight so that the snap lines up? My current plan is the flatten the flap and in line with the back of the sporran under a heavy book, then to stuff the sporran with tissue paper, secure the flap with rubber bands on each side and store it that way.
Second, the rough underside of the strap (there must be a name for this) left all sort of black debris on my shirt. Most brushed off. Hopefully, the rest will wash out. How can I clean the belt so it doe not leave debris? Will rubbing it with a rough cloth be sufficient, or should I use some sort of leather treatment?
