No, my wife makes them for me. They are made to accept separate collars which I have had made and/or have made myself.
The shirt in the photos is a silk and wool blend and has a fully pleated bib front. I love it.
My wife is going to make me several more for Christmas of silk broadcloth--one in white and one in black. These will be band collar as well but with a full placket and no pleating...but!! they will be extra long.
I like a a little earlier look...Victorian era.. and a high wing collar, a square bottom notch lapel vest, a ruched silk cravat and a kilt and Argyll jacket look fabulous in my opinion. And when you don't want to come it "Jack's Ashore"...just the band collar shirt looks great with a kilt as daywear--as you can see in the photos.
