That's really strange Matt. And I bow to your experience in this field. But I have just checked all the hose in my shop, that's 5 manufacturers, and all seem to be designed to be turned twice.
It could also be that I buy hose that way because I like that look, but honestly until this thread I never paid much attention. I assumed that a twice fold over was normal because the first hose I ever bought were designed that way and I have always worn my hose with a double turn-over.
