My Dad bought a kilt for my upcoming wedding in modern Morrison as that is our family that has a confirmed pedigree to Scotland. Pretty awesome, eh? I think he's excited about the wedding. I got him a brown sporran last year for his birthday or some such, and I'm gonna let it slide that he's wearing black shoes, BUT...

Now he says that he's going to wear his tartan tie in Hunting Morrison with the Modern Morrison kilt (because the greens are the same shade, or so he says) for the wedding (he's also wearing an argyle jacket, no waistcoat).

So... the question is: should I be scared??? It worries me that my Dad's fashion sense has slowly gone from smart to- it's comfourtable so it must look good, too! Well, maybe not quite that serious... but I'd like to get some opinions to whether this might be a fire that needs puttin' out or is it just a mole hill?

Thanks yall.

Aye,
Wesley

PS: He's going to be greeting folks at the church door as well as being in a lot of the pictures, so... something to bear in mind.
First congrats on the wedding. Second, there is no issue with wearing a brown day sporran with black shoes. There are many dipections of this from the turn of the last century on, and the Prince of Wales contunes this to this day. Third.. I'm not a fan of the tartan tie/kilt combo. I have yet to see a photo or see it in person where I thought it looked good. Even if it were the same tartan it just looks odd.
