Strap dilemma
Just today the post delivered my latest ebay find: a used wool kilt with a very weird strapping mechanism. It has a belt like strap, that is attached to the underneath apron, fed through a hole at the left side and going around the back.

When I tryed the kilt on, I discovered that the belt is too short for me.
Now, I see two ways of fixing this: Either I unfasten the belt buckle and make it longer, so the belt fits or I unfasten the whole belt and buckle and replace them with two regular traps. What do you think, which method would be better? And also, if someone recognizes the tartan, please tell me.
