Well, the preliminary pre-jones jones is over
I'd purchased 4 yards of double-wide XMTS tartan as part of the group buy back in November (I believe), and had fully planned on doing the kilt myself. However, due to some recent medical problems, I haven't had the time even to finish a U.S. Army wool tartan kilt I've had in the works for almost 6 months.
So, I sent the tartan off to Rocky (he confirmed receipt today (hence the pre-jones jones)), and he's going to turn it into a Semi-Trad for me.
So, now I get to wait another 2 1/2 months (or pay the Jones fee) to get my hands back on the tartan. Due to the medical problems, I'm currently wheelchair bound right now, so I've not been kilted as much. I just did some searching, and I think it would be a good idea to break some of my Amerikilts back out of storage. I'd tried my USAK semi-trad and my SWK heavyweights, but I kept messing the pleats up, and was having horrified thoughts of what it would take to straighten them out again.
So, I probably won't pay the jones fee, as I doubt I'll be back in tartan until after the XMTS kilt shows up.

Reason: reporting search results for wheelchair kilt wearing.
