Argyll hose - foldover. need help

I have taken some photos of my kilt hose which might be more help to you -

These are in ancient Lindsay and will be 60 years old next year, here is the receipt when they were bought





And these are Galbraith tartan bought only a few years ago



Both have a seam at the back of the leg - you should be able to see that on the Lindsay hose quite clearly.
