Does anybody know if the US have an official Pipe Band for any service? You know, that is actually part of the service and not just ceremonial or unofficial?

It depends on your definition of ceremonial, since many militaries retain ceremonial units made up of serving personnel.
Both the US Military Academy and the Naval Academy have pipe bands, and the US Coast Guard and US Air Force Reserve maintain pipes and drums as well.
The California National Guard at one time had a pipe band, but I'm not sure if it's still active.
