Help finding a District Tartan?
I'm starting to put together my "wish list" of kilts to acquire. Eventually I'd like to get one in Kerr Modern (since that's the only so-far-identifiable Scot in my ancestry), and then I thought I'd look for a district tartan that would be appropriate for the Kerrs. So, that's where I could use some assistance.
The locations that seem most associated with the Kerrs would be Ferniehurst Castle and Monteviot House, both located near Jedburgh. I have been unable to locate a Jedburgh tartan, but I did find a Roxburgh tartan. Jedburgh is located in Roxburghshire, so that seems to me the closest "match."
Any better suggestions? My Scotland geography is woefully poor, so if anyone with more knowledge would like to offer comment, I would greatly appreciate it.
