I had such a pleasant experience working with the people at Scotweb, I wanted to relate it to you. Recently, well like a month or so ago, ordered several lengths of tartan material (Douglas Modern, Douglas Grey, & Keith Modern) to make kilts for a couple of my clients. As a bonus I had enough to qualify for the free shipping, which I fully expected to get shipped within 2 weeks and arrival in 8 weeks. No problem. About a week after placing the order, I noticed that the Douglas Grey had been scheduled to dispatch several weeks later. No big deal. Shortly after that, I received an e-mail notice indicating it was scheduled for dispatch in the end of October. So, instead of e-mailing, I went ahead and called their support number and talked to one of their very friendly staff. She indicated that the mill (Batley) making the Douglas Grey had gone into liquidation and had sent everything over. It just as so happens that my Douglas Grey was in the shipment and it would be dispatched promptly. Great! What Luck! I fully expected the shipment in about 8 weeks. The next day, I received the e-mail that the order had shipped - by FedEX Overnight. FEDEX??? Overnight??? It landed on my front step the next morning before noon. Packing, product were excellent. They have one very happy customer here and I can't wait to put in another order. I am very satisfied. Just wanted to share this with the lot of you.
