Registration notes: Designed by Andrew Elliot of Andrew Elliot Ltd, Forest Mill, Galashiels, Scotland. Appears to be a variation on Cockburn. Sample in Scottish Tartans Authority's Johnston Collection. Those notes say computer designed and 'section missed out'. Said to have been launched at a civic reception in Hawick as the official district tartan in February (14th) 1996.
