I've been fortunate to get out and about in the woods, lately. Two weeks ago went on the Huckabee trail in Sedona. Alas, it was in the 90s and turned into what companions jokingly call "the death march" (I did get heat exhaustion but no lasting ill effects)

Thankfully we eventually reached the Oak Creek beneath Midgley Bridge.

The creek was much cooler than the cliffs, but this trip convinced me I do need a non-wool kilt for hiking in!

Then yesterday went on Lamar Haynes trail halfway up Mt. Humphreys. Much nicer temp, around 60 degrees. Lovely fall colors in the Aspens
