Convalescence in the kilt
I recently had laser eye surgery and the first couple days of recovery were especially unpleasant. As a martial artist, I elected for the PRK type of procedure because it maintains the integrity of the eye better. Unfortunately, it heals more slowly and is more painful...
Upon arriving home, I could not get comfortable with either of my default comfort clothing options: MacQuarrie Works model Sport Kilt or pajamas. Too hot then too cold and back again... in desperation, I strapped on my four yard, 16 oz, Douglas kilt and voila! I was able to relax and heal.
I am positing that the wool kilt was the key to what my doctor says is an above average recovery. Anyone else have similar experiences? Healed by the kilt I say!
