Thanks for the review Alex. I was waiting for someone to pick up on these. I've run into them a few times while browsing on ebay. (I can't see the pictures just yet but I'll check the thread again when I get home.)
I was travelling across the country for my crew-change on Monday night and was changing trains at Ely in Cambridgeshire. Spotted a bloke in a box pleated black Utility Kilt, black jacket, black (roo-skin?) slouch hat, black kilt socks with thin red ribbons sewn down the sides and yup... Black boots. He was also sporting a long silver key-chain on his belt. He looked very cool indeed and walked about with great confidence. I noticed also how no-one seemed to bat an eyelid. Interesting to view it from the onlookers perspective, most of my experience of people looking at kilts is them looking at me and I think you see things differently that way.
This bloke was on the opposite platform to me and time was short so I didn't get a chance to let on but I did wonder if he was a member here and his admirable style did make me think again about getting one of these kilts.
I probably won't as I'm not sure I could pull it off with the same debonair flair that both yourself and the gentleman I saw demonstrated...
