After several months of waiting I have donned the kilt for the first time. And the second. The first was for my nephews wedding on New Years Eve. There were 5 of us kilted and a fine looking bunch we were. The second was to work several days after. Now that was an experience. I work with a bunch of trades guys so I knew there would be razzing. There was everything from 'the question' to concerns about my orientation. Since I've known these lads for a few years, each and every one of them had their comments shot down as they would expect. They were also told to get used to it as I plan on wearing one at least 2 or three times a week once the weather warms up. The novelty wore off before lunch, and then a few of them, one by one, started asking serious questions about why I was wearing it, the tartan, and how warm it was (the temp. that day was hovering around 0 degrees C. And one of them stated that if he can find someone to make him a utility-type kilt, he would be wearing it come spring. Given his size and muscle mass, nobody will questioning anything when he decides to do so.
