I've actually had this kilt finished for about month now, but I kept forgetting to post pictures.

A little over a year ago, I was lucky enough to find 6½ yards of 18 ounce Robertson Red tartan. After a few delays, a couple of false starts, and a few more delays, I sewed up this:


And, because I've already pleated a Robertson Red to the sett, and have vowed to never go through that headache again ... the pleats:

Pleating to the double thin lines in the overcheck made it look too bright, and pleating to the thin red line in between the broad lines of the undercheck didn't work, so I decided on the broad lines themselves.
