Ghillie Brogue Laces
I recently got a pair of ghillie brogues off the net, and they came with regular-length laces rather than the extra-long around the ankle, around the calf, around the block.....er... laces.
I can't say I've noticed anyone wearing shoes like this in a picture, and I'm wondering if it is acceptable to wear them as-is or should I get the long laces. They're brown and go well with my brown leather belt and sporran (therefore less formal to begin with) so I kinda like them the way they are, but I wonder if they'll look strange with the tongue-less shoe design without the fussy lace accompaniment.
Thanks
