So everyday USPS comes by and delivers or picks up packages related to my store. A package arrived yesterday that I assumed was my vests that I had just recently ordered for mysself (Ahhh....small luxuries). I opened the box and was immediately disappointed. Just one vest, color was wrong and it was like an XXL. Buttons were right, but I was immediately pissed, took it off, and went to other things. In the evening I was showing my wife, and she remarked before she threw the boxes, that she filed the invoice that was in the box. I retrieved it and was almost floored!! In October of 2008, my VERY FIRST order was a gentleman who wanted an Argyll vest. He paid and said that he would send measurements later. A month went by....nothing. Then 2, then 3, then 6......I emailed-Nothing. I called-phone disconnected. So I let it go.....
So as I read the invoice , this was my very first customer, 1 1/2 years later, sending me a vest that he wanted duplicated, but in black(The one sent was blue). He apologized and said that shortly after his order, his house burnt down and he and his wife had been in insurance limbo living in a hotel for the past year and a half. Now things were finally settled, and he'd like his vest. This was my very first customer.....I guess I should go ahead and get him a vest!!!!!! Not quite as strange as the gentleman who wanted me to make a hair sporran from his wife's hair that was going to be cut for the first time in 17 years, but a strange tale non-the-less.
