Back around Burns Night in January I posted pictures of a Shetland Lace knit jabot that my wife made for me to wear with my new Sheriffmuir doublet.

She didn't have the time before Burns Night to knit matching cuffs, but she wanted to finish the cuffs nonetheless so that I would have a matching sett.

Well, she just finished them recently, and this weekend I got all dressed up for some "backyard photos" so that she could post some pics of the finished project on her Ravelry page. (For those non-knitters, the Ravelry forum is the X Marks of the knitting world).

I thought I'd share some of the photos with you.

Just strolling about the Newsome estate....

Smiling for the camera....

Another pose for my wife's Ravelry viewers....

Aren't I a cheeky monkey!?

An interloper in our photo shoot!

For those knitters out there, she has the pattern she created for the jabot and cuff sett available as a free download on Ravelry. Her screen name is "JMN."

For those non-knitters who might like something like this, PM me!

The lace design is from a mid-nineteenth century Shetland shawl pattern. She adapted it for the jabot and cuff. She only put the pattern she made on Ravelry yesterday, and after just a few hours had over 170 "favorites." I'm such a proud husband!
