A local Scottish pastor encourages people to wear kilts to church. I wear my kilt at formal settings (chaperone school dances, John Muir's birthday - 21 April, company celebrations (New Year's, Christmas, etc.). Someone is very insecure and very provincial.

Take them to some nearby Scottish games - working dogs, athletic competition, marching and all kinds of people in kilts!

That's a great suggestion. The Games around here usually have a service on Sunday morning, too.
