I WAS THERE!!!!!!

Those were my first Highland Games, so I can't judge, really. But would say it was not so much about history and heritage, but there is no Scottish heritage at all in Austria anyway. All was about having fun and good time. I took tones of pics and have non with me; was there alone. Local TV was there, so it could happen I was caught on TV. Even events were a bit different:

1. Caber tossing
2. Relay on beer drinking
3. Relay (hill) running
4. Egg throwing/catching
5. Rope (tug of war)

There were more then 20 men teams and less then 10 women teams from Austria and Italy

In the evening There was a fashion show related to kilts and tartan, two local rock bands and.....Celtica pipe rock band from USA.

I took 300+ pics. Will make selection of few and published them in Picture Gallery forum and some more somewhere else and give you link to them. Kilt police would have a full time job and I can say, I was one of the best looking Highlander, when it comes to kilt and rest of the attire. (And usually I don't like to brag). The weather was so so; rain, sun, rain...

In short: fun, kilts, fun, beer, whisky, local specialties and music. Here are two links related to this event in the past. I looks the new one is yet to be published, so stay tuned.
