I spent about three hours yesterday visiting Barb Tewksbury at her University office/lab. We looked at the kilt she made me and the kilt I made and she assisted me with laying out my second kilt...a box pleated Black Watch. I had a great time and learned quite a bit...and I think even shared a little something that Barb found intriguing...keep your eyes out for a future post by her. But anyways...I thought the rabble may like to get a look at a couple of pictures from my visit. The sign outside of Barb's suite...and it is a suite...two laboratory/work rooms, an entryway/foyer, and a private office complete with a big comfy recliner. Barb at work...doing her real job! I think I caught her on a video chat with one of her graduate students in Egypt here. Kiltmaker's shop or geology lab?? A pic of the large lab/class room...the tables work great for laying out a kilt. The kilts on the table are the one I made for a friend and the one Barb just made for me. The one over the back of the chair is Barb's personal band kilt. In-progress view of Barb's current project: And, finally, a closer pic of the two kilts with "the bible". Hope you enjoy this thread!
