The satin facings with the mandarin collar do vaguely bring up images of a Trachten jacket in my mind...which is very cool. I like them and have often thought one would make a good kilt jacket with some minor work. I'm not a huge fan of doublets of any type, but I've seen a few good examples lately--this one included--that are makeing me change my mind.
I like the "tie" with this, though I'd prefer a solid color if I were wearing it. "Poofy"and lacy things just don't appeal to me. Some guys pull it off well, others look like they are trying to dress like Prince. I like the very clean line of this one. Very slick.
It's always good to see someone do something original. Some will like, some will not. I for one am really digging this! Even the belt with the waistcoat works pretty well. Well done Sir.

The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.
