excellent fabric choice for contemporary kilt
I've written this up before, but I thought I'd perhaps do it again.
When I was working on the EarthKilt project I came across a twill fabric made of hemp and recycled polyester. I made a prototype kilt from this stuff, which sadly got sent to the Maquila in El Salvador, so I don't have it any more. However, that fabric was a dream to work with. It hangs well, it's environmentally friendlier than most, and it doesn't wrinkle. Basically, the ideal contemporary kilt fabric.
If I was to ever make another contemporary, I would spend the money and get this stuff. Here are some links...

Also available in Indigo (think "blue jeans")
There are other hemp blends, like hempcell, but I haven't worked with them.
