YOU BEAT ME TO IT RICHARD!!! You are precisley right, and I was waiting to see if anyone would notice that, despite me really wanting to take credit for that observation first! P/M Burgess was a staunch supporter of his old regiment, even though he only served for a few years, he was indeed P/M of the 4th/5th battalions of the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders. These old boys would wear a single eagle feather in their Glengarry bonnets - quite striking, along with their Cameron of Erracht tartan - gorgeous sett and colours.
