Housework in a Kilt
I'm retired. And, as all of us retired guys know, it's not all golf, hunting, fishing, riding that Harley, etc. Especially for married guys, retirement also includes a bit of "housework." More especially if the wife still works. However, I have discovered that since I now have an "everyday" Kilt, I have begun to wear it almost exclusively for doing my "chores." Comfortable, cool, free, what's not to like? How bout y'all?

I used to do some gardening in a canvas kilt.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

I've yet to purchase a kilt, DRipper is currently working on mine right now. However that being said, I borrowed a Utilikilt for the Sturgis rally in August and find myself wearing it around the house quite often.

My USA kilt arrived a few Saturday's ago. I tried it on and didn't want to take it off! So I ended up vacuuming in it. I must say, it wasn't as a much of a chore since I was on a kilt high.

I don't do housework, but I do find my Utilikilt very functional for outside work, like fixing fences, doing barn chores, and working in the garage! Wouldn't do it in a nice kilt, though.

I keep a knock-about PV in the Kollection. I have a Stillwater Black Watch on the way, it's my wife's favorite sett. Once that is received my current Stewart hunting green will be in the for sale section.
Between having a nice tank to dress up in and a knockabout to just wear, I like having the choice.

My Sportkilt in Hunting tartan is my knock-about-the-house kilt.

The first thing I usually do when I get home from work is to put on a kilt, usually a SWK thrifty. Doing dishes, vacuuming, in my workshop, sewing, laying around, cooking, and everything else is much more comfortable when kilted, especially if you have a kilt that you don't mind getting dirty, stained, etc.
