The scarf is alive and well and en route to its next destination. Sorry for the delay in posting pics, but I was trying to salvage some shots taken at the renowned Red Rocks Amphitheater. Used an old, non-digital camera for them, and the results were complete crud. So, all I have to show are some shots from our time up at Lake Granby, Colorado.
Beautiful weather, great weekend!
My wife and kiddo by the shore of Lake Granby, the second-largest body of water in the state. Notice all the beetle-kill trees in the background (the grey amongst the green). A horrible problem spreading rapidly in our beautiful mountains...
At the "end" of the Roaring Forks Trail. Couldn't climb to a better vantage point to see the falls because of so much uncleared dead-fall. Thanks again, you nasty beetles!
Risking life, limb and scarf to get in the middle of things...
Cheers to Derek for creating the opportunity to take part in this endeavor. I Hope everyone else has/has had as much fun!

'Tis the Williams of Wales tartan made by the Cambrian Wollen Mill (via the Wales Tartan Centre and USA Kilts). It's a little lighter than a heavyweight--14oz.--but it still swings nicely!

Nice pics, LitTrog!
Couple of questions-
1. Are those Vasque boots?
2. What is your workout like? I keep forgetting what a big guy you are!

1. Asolo. Had them for 9 years and needing a retread, but great boots!
2. Big?! Wow...must be something to that saying, "a man in a kilt is a man and a half." At 5'8", 165lbs, I think GIGANTOR would be a poor choice for a screen name! I'll PM you my workout info to keep from cluttering this thread...

Nice shots Lit Trog, I too like that tartan. I have always liked the rich colors, of the Welsh tartans (nice combo with the scarf too!).
It is an absolute shame about the beetle problem there in Colorado. I spent a couple of weeks there a few years ago (Denver, Evergreen, Breckenridge), and was absolutely amazed at the extent of the problem. Although the resulting lumber has some really nice colors to it, it looks much better as a forest.
Best wishes to you and yours,
Brooke
