Hamish and Facebook
In no way do I wish to be ungrateful, but several X Markers (and others) have posted very kind birthday greetings on my 'wall' at Facebook. I have not read them because I do not trust Facebook at all and no longer go there. If I could remove my name from its registers I would but, it seems, Facebook does not wish anyone to leave once they have you!
I am deeply grateful for your kind thoughts and wishes but would ask you to use the PM facility here, or E-Mail, rather than Facebook should you wish to contact me in the future. Very many thanks.
My Best Regards to you, and
Take care,
Ham.

They always save your information, but you can make you account inactive under Account Settings and Deactivate Account.

Thanks so much for that. I have deactivated my account - what a relief!
Take care,
Hanm.

I don't use FaceSpace or MyBook or any of those things. I have too many former students/enemies.
I hope your birthday was a smashing success, and that you have many more of them.

Belated Birthday Greetings, Hamish! And, a wise move ditching your FaceBook account. I did the same thing over a year ago, for the same reasons....
